ADHD Education:
The Essential Basics
One of the most fulfilling parts of ADHD coaching is witnessing the transformative power of brain-based insights. Watching clients light up with a new, meaningful understanding of themselves—often one that feels profoundly healing—is an extraordinary experience.
Whether you’re working with someone newly diagnosed or an individual who’s lived with ADHD since middle school, the need for accurate, up-to-date information is universal. Clients deserve education that goes beyond surface-level explanations, tailored not only to their specific ADHD presentation but also to their co-existing conditions and the unique person they are at their core.
Finally, while sharing ADHD education is critical, restraint is just as important. It can be tempting to overwhelm clients with everything you know—but effective coaching calls for providing just enough to empower, without overloading. Less is often more when it comes to creating lasting impact.
This course is open to Coach Approach’s Foundation Training graduates and trained coaches from other ICF programs with 60+ hours of coach-specific training and 100+ paid client hours.
For coaches trained in other programs who are seeking ADHD-specific training, this course is a prerequisite for many of our other Advanced ADHD-related courses.
