Coaching in Action: Focused Learning
for Advanced Coaches
A Monthly, Facilitated Seminar for Peer Coaches
The once-per-month Coaching in Action (CIA) seminar-style course is an opportunity for advanced coaches to speak in an informal, focused manner about coaching experiences, successes, and growth challenges.
CIA is an honest, supportive and intimate setting of no more than ten coaches. The focus of each seminar is determined in advance by the interests of the students, and evolves over time. Taught by CAT Institute Founder and Director of Credentialing Denslow Brown, MCC, CNC, the topics are wide-reaching and inspiring.
Past topics have included:
- Review and discussion of individual CAT Independent (graduate-level) Projects selected by the CIA participants
- Autism & Emotions (Clients & Coaches)
- Impact of Hormones on the brain (Clients & Coaches)
- ICF’s and PAAC’s changing coach certification standards, ethics, and definitions—tools for coaching growth and insight into industry evolution
- Impacts of new research and resources on our coaching efforts
- Shared client challenges, successes, and/or ethical quandaries
