Take a Deeper Dive Into Coaching Specialties with Graduate Book Analysis
A study of a specific book to take you further into understanding of the coaching world as a whole.
Coaching empowers clients to connect with their most authentic, expansive selves and take meaningful action aligned with their deepest values and passions. As coaches, we are most effective when we personally explore and embrace a transformative journey similar to those we invite our clients to embark upon.
Occasionally, a book emerges that captures the essence of the human experience with profound clarity, or introduces fresh perspectives that push the boundaries of coaching as we know it. These texts inspire us, offering new language and insights that deepen our understanding of the coaching process and its potential.
When a book resonates deeply with our trainers, we create space to engage with it fully through our Graduate Book Analysis (GBA) course. This intimate, thought-provoking program brings together curious minds to reflect on the book’s themes and how they intersect with our personal growth and the lives of our clients. It’s a unique opportunity to expand our toolkit and enrich the coaching journey for all.
This class is a great choice for coach recertification hours. It’s open to CAT Institute Foundation Training graduates and to coaches trained outside CAT who have 60+ coach training hours & 100+ paid client hours. There are no other prerequisites.

What You’ll Learn in Graduate Book Analysis
In past courses, the literary title chosen for the Graduate Book Analysis course was selected with a particular population in mind: other coaches, women, and leaders, to name a few. We seek to expand into other areas of coaching that give us a different perspective from concepts learned through CAT Institute.
No matter the title, we read each book on its merit and always consider its relevance and application to our work as coaches.
